I beg to move, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to make provision for the general public to petition the Criminal Cases Review Commission to review sentences that the petitioners believe to be either too harsh or too lenient;

to make provision about the review of such sentences;

to make provision about the referral of such cases to the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court;

and for connected purposes.
